The mountain inn Niederbauen is located in the Swiss canton of Nidwalden at about 1500 meters above sea level and offers hikers the opportunity to relax with idyllic views of Lake Lucerne and the surrounding mountains. In addition to a restaurant, there is also an overnight accommodation.
Directly next to the house was an old septic tank, but its odors were increasingly disturbing to owners and visitors. With the KLARO One system, the existing single-chamber pit could be converted into a sewage treatment plant with only a few parts. This also facilitated transport to the mountain farm, which was only accessible by aerial cableway. Sludge removal would also be very problematic. For this reason, the choice was made at that time to expand the plant with a desludging module that can treat the entire sludge. This offers the advantage that the entire sludge can be treated with the de-sludge module. The sludge is pumped into a bag and dries out. Later it can be transported away more easily.
