Facts 

Project overview: 

The village of La Louvière is located on the border with France, which previously made a sewage connection to Switzerland impossible. In the 1970s, the village was equipped with a small trickling filter sewage treatment plant. However, this plant no longer fulfils the required discharge values and is also very outdated. As it is also located on private land, its accessibility also makes it difficult to maintain and repair the plant. Various options therefore needed to be examined in order to find a suitable solution. After a thorough investigation, it was finally decided to connect the hamlet to the French wastewater network. During the connection work, a KLARO container will temporarily take over the wastewater treatment.
