Project overview:
Holidays in the Kaunertal are an experience - but what actually happens to the waste water? The team at the Gepatschhaus in the Kaunertal, Austria's oldest Alpine Club hut at an altitude of 1928 metres, also asked themselves this question. As a popular starting point for hikes, summit and ice tours, the hut attracts numerous tourists, some of whom also spend the night there. As part of the renovation work at the alpine hut, it was decided to replace the existing wastewater treatment plant, as it was no longer able to cope with the increased wastewater volumes.
Solution with KLARO wastewater treatment plants:
- KLARO complete system in two large 38,000 litre carat-tanks
- Dimensioned for 100 PE, 15 m³ per day
- Machine technology in a high-quality outdoor cabinet 4 in the immediate vicinity of the wastewater treatment plant
- Subsequent transfer of the wastewater to a constructed wetland
