Project overview:
The islands of Samoa are located in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. The remoteness offers the perfect opportunity for holidaymakers to forget the daily grind and let their souls dangle. As a result of increased tourism, the decision was taken to create artificial islands such as Taumeasina Island and develop them into a resort. Of course, it was also necessary to find a suitable solution for the wastewater treatment. The aim was to avoid the daily disposal of sludge and annoying odours. In the end, the decision was made in favour of five KLARO wastewater treatment plants, the largest of which has a capacity of 150 PE. Since the islands are very difficult to reach and plants in concrete are difficult to come by and expensive, the obvious solution was to design the plants in plastic half-shell tanks. These are particularly easy to transport because they are stackable.
Solution with KLARO wastewater treatment plants:
- KLARO complete system in ten plastic tanks
- designed for 150 PE, 22.5 m³ per day
