Project overview:
A holiday in Kaunertal is an experience – but what actually happens to the wastewater? This question was also asked by the team at the Gepatschhaus in Kaunertal, Austria's oldest Alpine Club hut at an altitude of 1928 metres. As a popular starting point for hikes, summit and ice tours, the hut attracts numerous tourists, some of whom also stay overnight. As part of the renovation work on the Alpine hut, it was decided to also renew the existing wastewater treatment plant, as it was no longer able to cope with the increased volumes of wastewater.
Solution with KLARO wastewater treatment plants:
- KLARO conversion kit for new plants
- Designed for 200 PE, 30 m³ per day
- Concrete tank made on site according to measurements
- Separate machine room above the treatment plant
