Accessories for KLARO separation technology

Sludge storage

All KLARO separator systems can be extended with an upstream sludge storage. Additional sludge storgaes are used for the pre-separation of contaminants contained in water with a density greater than that of water. The pollutants are deposited at the bottom. In addition, coarse floating substances are also retained here. The efficiency of sludge traps depends on the surface area, retention time, flow path and volume.

The wastewater freed of sediment and coarse floating matter flows into the separator. The inflowing volume flow is directed into the tank by means of a flow plate. This optimizes the sedimentation process. Additional sludge traps are useful and necessary if there is an increased amount of dirt in oily wastewater such as: Washing areas for construction site vehicles, construction machinery, agricultural machinery, truck wash stands and automatic vehicle washing systems, e.g. gantry car washes or car washes.

External sampling shaft

The KLARO separator systems can be extended with an external sampling point. The sampling shaft is installed downstream of the separator tank. In addition to taking wastewater samples in accordance with regulations, it is used to check, maintain and clean the system.

Dome structure and cover

  • Tight up to the top edge of the ground
  • Easy adjustment to the top edge of the terrain thanks to telescopic / inclinable dome shaft
  • Maximum stability thanks to modern technology
  • Unique fitting accuracy of the components thanks to new production process
  • For commercially available concrete rings/covers, accessible by car or truck
  • Infinitely adjustable ground cover, 5° tiltable (ideal for asphalt surfaces)

Manhole covers

without ventilation:
  • Class B (accessible by car) and
  • Class D (accessible by truck)
with ventilation:
  • for the sampling shaft: class B (accessible by car) and class D (accessible by truck)

Warning systems for light fluid separators

According to EN 858-1, separator systems must be equipped with warning devices. If a superelevation cannot be maintained, automatic warning devices and, in addition, suitable devices for protection in the event of possible backflow must be provided.

Mode of operation:

The following functions can be monitored via sensors installed in the separator:

  • Monitoring of the layer thickness, i.e. alarm when a defined limit of the maximum storage capacity of oil/petrol has been reached.
  • Detection of a build-up, i.e. when the general liquid level rises, e.g. with a dirty float or an automatically closed drain

Available sets:

  • Type 1: Oil layer thickness alarm
  • Type 2: Accumulation alarm
  • Type 3: Oil layer thickness and accumulation alarm

Warning systems for grease separators

According to EN 1825, it is possible to equip grease separators with warning devices.

Mode of operation:

The following functions can be monitored via sensors installed in the separator:

  • Monitoring of the layer thickness, i.e. alarm when a defined limit of the maximum grease storage capacity has been reached
  • Detection of a backlog, i.e. when the general liquid level rises, e.g. in the event of a blocked drain

Available sets:

  • Type 1: Grease layer thickness alarm
  • Type 2: Grease layer thickness and accumulation alarm
