SEWERING TECHNOLOGY UP TO 5,000 PE / 750 m³
SINGLE-LINE WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT
The single-line KLARO MAX wastewater treatment plant treats up to 750 m³ of wastewater per day using the SBR process. The pre-storage tank ensures volume and concentration balancing, decouples the inflow from the cycles in the bioreactor and enables short-term feeding. Excess activated sludge can be temporarily stored in the sludge storage tank until disposal becomes necessary. The purified water is temporarily stored in the optional drain or chlorine contact tank and can be reused if necessary.
- SBR cleaning cycle (3 cycles per day)
- Up to 750 m³ / day
- Intermittent aeration
- Pre-storage for buffering and protection during sedimentation and clear water removal
- Sludge storage tank for intermediate storage of excess sludge
- Individual dimensioning according to climate zone, altitude, available space and specific inlet and outlet values
- Project support from planning to implementation
- Technical on-site service
- Technical service on the phone

SEWAGE TREATMENT TECHNOLOGY FROM 5,000 PE / 750 m³
TWO-TIER SEWAGE TREATMENT PLANT
The two-lined KLARO MAX wastewater treatment plant treats from 750 m³ of wastewater per day using the SBR process. By using two bioreactors, the pre-storage tank can be omitted as the inflowing wastewater is distributed alternately to both bioreactors. By delaying the two treatment cycles, only one bioreactor is fed with fresh raw wastewater during sedimentation and clear water removal. This prevents recontamination of the treated clear water by inflowing wastewater, even without a pre-storage tank.
- SBR cleaning cycle (2x 3 cycles per day)
- Alternating operation of the bioreactors
- From 750 m³ / day
- Intermittent aeration
- One large sludge storage tank or two separate sludge storage tanks possible
- Individual dimensioning according to climate zone, altitude, available space and specific inlet and outlet values
- Project support from planning to implementation
- Technical on-site service
- Technical service on the phone

Biological SBR cleaning process
Purification through biological clarification
1. aeration
The raw wastewater enters the plant's bioreactor and is treated biologically. Strip aerators on the reactor floor ensure sufficient aeration and mixing of the entire bioreactor. The air required for this is generated by a rotary lobe compressor in the machine house. Aeration usually takes place intermittently. The microorganisms are thus optimally supplied with oxygen to efficiently purify the wastewater.
2. sedimentation
Aeration is followed by sedimentation, also known as the settling phase. During this phase, the reactor contents calm down and the activated sludge content settles. In order not to disturb the sedimentation, inflowing raw sewage is fed into the pre-storage tank (single-line systems) or into the second bioreactor (two-line systems).
3. backwash & clear water removal
After a certain time, the separation of clear water and sludge is so clear that the clear water can be removed. To ensure that suspended solids in the outlet decanter do not reach the outside, it is backwashed with the aid of a compressed air siphon before each clear water discharge
. The contents are pumped back into the bioreactor. The butterfly valve then opens and the clear water is discharged from the bioreactor by gravity.
4. excess sludge discharge
The final step in the purification process is the removal of excess sludge. The excess activated sludge formed is fed from the bioreactor into the sludge storage tank via a sludge pump. As soon as this process is complete, the constantly inflowing raw wastewater flows back into the bioreactor. In single-stream systems, the pre-storage tank is also emptied and the cleaning process starts again from the beginning with aeration.
