150 PE Taumeasina Land, Samoa
The islands of Samoa are located in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. The seclusion offers a perfect opportunity for vacationers to forget the everyday life and to let the soul dangle. As a result of the increase in tourism, artificial islands such as Taumeasina Island were built and developed into a resort. Of course, it was also necessary to find a suitable solution for wastewater treatment. They wanted to avoid the daily sludge disposal as well as annoying odors.
In the end, the decision was made to install five KLARO wastewater treatment plants, the largest of which has 150 PE. Since the islands are very difficult to reach and plants in concrete are hard to get and expensive, it was obvious to design the plants in plastic half-shell tanks. These are particularly convenient to transport because they are stackable. This was a decisive reason for installing a plant in plastic tanks.
