Accessories for KLARO separators

Sludge storage

All KLARO separator systems can be expanded with an upstream sludge trap. Additional sludge traps are used for the pre-separation of contaminants contained in the water whose density is greater than that of water. The pollutants are deposited on the bottom. In addition, coarse floating substances are already stopped here. The efficiency of the sludge traps depends on the surface area, the retention time, the flow path and the volume.

The waste water freed from sediments and coarse floating matter flows into the separator. The inflowing volume flow is calmed by means of a flow plate and fed into the tank. This optimises the sedimentation process. Additional sludge traps are useful and necessary in case of increased accumulation of dirt in oily waste water such as: Washing areas for construction site vehicles, construction machinery, agricultural machinery, truck wash stands and automatic vehicle washing systems, e.g. portal washing systems or car washes.

External sampling shaft

The KLARO separator systems can be extended with an external sampling point. The sampling shaft is connected downstream of the separator tank. In addition to taking wastewater samples in accordance with regulations, it is used for checking, maintaining and cleaning the system.

Dome assembly and cover

  • Tight up to the top edge of the ground
  • Easy adaptation to the top edge of the terrain due to telescopic / inclinable dome shaft
  • Highest stability due to modern technology
  • Unique fitting accuracy of the components due to new production process
  • For commercially available concrete rings/coverings Accessible by car or truck
  • Infinitely adjustable ground cover, 5° inclinable (ideal for asphalt surfaces)

Warning systems for light liquid separators

According to EN 858-1, separator systems must be equipped with warning devices. If a superelevation cannot be complied with, automatic warning devices and, in addition, suitable devices for protection in the event of possible backwater, must be provided.

Mode of operation:

The following functions can be monitored via sensors installed in the separator:

  • Monitoring of the layer thickness, i.e. alarm when a defined limit of the maximum storage capacity of oil/petrol has been reached.
  • Detection of a build-up, i.e. when the general liquid level rises, e.g. in the case of a dirty float or an automatically closed drain.

Available sets:

  • Typ 1: Light fluid layer thickness
  • Typ 2: Overflow
  • Typ 3: Layer thickness and overflow

Warning systems for grease separators

According to EN 1825, it is possible to equip grease separators with warning devices.

Functionality:

The following functions can be monitored via sensors installed in the separator:

  • Monitoring of the layer thickness, i.e. alarm when a defined limit of the maximum storage capacity of grease has been reached.
  • Detection of a backwater, i.e. when the general liquid level rises, e.g. in the case of a clogged drain

Available sets:

  • Typ 1: Fat layer thickness
  • Typ 2: Fat layer thickness and overflow
